Warren Foot
Warren joined Blake Lapthorn in 1984. He is Head of the firm's London Office and also heads their Proceeds of Crime team. He specialises in restraint and confiscation work, including civil recovery.
Warren regularly acts on behalf of receivers appointed by the courts on the application of HM Revenue & Customs, the Crown Prosecution Service and the Serious Fraud Office under the Criminal Justice Act 1988, Drug Trafficking Act 1994 and Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. He has been involved in a number of the leading cases in this area as well as acting in the first ever Interim Receivership conducted under Part 5 of POCA and being involved in the enforcement of the largest confiscation order obtained in the UK.
Warren has conducted seminars here and abroad on restraint and confiscation and the impact of Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. He has acted for the Attorneys General of the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Cayman Islands, in proceedings in those territories relating to, amongst other things, money laundering prosecutions.
Warren is a member of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association, the Transnational Crime Group of the International Bar Association and the Institute of Directors.
