We are pleased that we have once again been able to agree discounts for members on a number of forthcoming conferences. We provide details of the following in particular:
1. LexisNexis Financial Services Investigations and Enforcement on 18 October 2011 in London. LexisNexis are offering a £100 discount to POCLA members.
2. LexisNexis Anti- Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Conference on 27 September 2011 in Central London POCLA members can book for the special price of £599 against a full conference price of £799 and an Early Bird price of £699, so represents a £200 saving off the full conference price. This offer is valid for bookings received any time after 5 August. POCLA members booking before 5 August will attract the special price of £550.

This should work out at £639.92 + VAT per delegate for both conference and workshop booked together. (£749 + VAT on website). 3rd February 2011 - As part of it's drive to attract members from outside of London, POCLA is pleased to be supporting a seminar in Belfast on 3 February 2011, organised and hosted by Goldblatt McGuigan Accountants'.
The 2011 POCLA confiscation forum will be held on the afternoon of 15 September in the Bingham Room (formerly the Spy Room), Grays Inn. Exact details of venue, timings and speakers will be sent in due course but the afternoon is likely to commence at 2pm and finish by about 5pm.
Proceeds of Crime Masterclass - 16 September 2011, Birmingham. We are pleased to be co-hosting this event with St Philips Chambers in Birmingham.
It is aimed at providing guidance on best practice in the less well known parts of proceeds of crime law and procedure for the general practitioner. The meeting will be chaired by Richard Atkins QC and the speakers will include Trevor Millington OBE, Malcolm Morse, Simon Davis, Jonathan Barker and Tim Green.

3rd November 2011 - The Chairman's Annual Dinner 2011.
This year's annual dinner will take place on Thursday 3rd November and will once again be held at the Royal College of Surgeons, Lincolns Inn. The dinner will be preceded by the Annual General Meeting and once again full details will be circulated in due course.

29 June 2010 - We are running a conference jointly with the Law Society dedicated to Civil Recovery. I believe that this is the first conference focused entirely on Civil Recovery. POCLA members benefit from a 15% discount
15 July 2010 @ 5.00pm - the first POCLA AGM followed immediately at 6.15pm by a short presentation by His Honour Judge Michael Hopmeier. That will be followed by a drinks reception. This will all take place at the offices of Moore Stephens LLP at 150 Aldersgate Street, London EC1A 4AB.
16/17 September 2010 - the second POCLA International Conference will be in Copenhagen. This will be a great opportunity for you to meet and see a line up of experienced and eminent speakers from around the world sharing their views on the changing face of international asset recovery, restraint and confiscation.
12th November 2010 - Third in POCLA's series of regional seminars will take place in Leeds.

The Chairman's Annual Dinner will take place on Thursday 18th November 2010 at the Royal College of Surgeons, and is likely to include a 'who's who' of the UK's proceeds of crime and asset recovery legal world, all assembled together for this end of year event. In addition we are delighted that Edward Garnier QC MP, the Solicitor General, has accepted our invitation to speak.
Last year the evening was a sell-out and as a consequence, this year's venue will hold a greater number, however, places will still be limited so early booking for members and their guests is recommended.
